Introduction

My name is Ian Matthews, I am an Electrical Engineering student tasked with completing a senior design project that is supposed to encapsulate all of the knowledge that I have acquired over the past 3 years.  There is a lot of research involved in this project and when I get bored, which is quite often, I find something in my reading that is only slightly relevant to what I am researching and start looking into that instead.  It doesn't help me get my project done but I usually find some interesting facts (interesting to me at least) along the way.  I will be writing about these tangents or side thoughts here on a semi regular basis. Let's see how this goes.

  1. I'll be following your blog. This is probably the only blog where I can actually learn something, since most of the other blogs are about fashion or rap music or other garbage. I also have a personal interest in this subject because I was considering electrical engineering as a major before I chose economics. I was first fascinated by electrical engineering when I took physics in high school. I find it interesting that the school makes electrical engineering students complete a senior project. I wonder if they do that with economics. I look forward to following your posts and learning about the facts you find.

  2. hello Ian, i will be following your blog. I am quite interested in the electrical engineering field. In high school, I was an electrician in the robotics team. I grew quite fond of the electrical field from an early age because my father is a mechanical engineer. He taught me quite simply how the world worked with his knowledge of math and sciences with what he has been taught. I am looking forward to learning something your future posts!
